BSNL, the largest broadband provider in India announced new combo broadband tariff plans for its urban and rural customers. They also announced tariff rates of next generation 16 mbps and 24 broadband connection that could revolutionize the current internet scenario in India. The special about new combo plans is that we have two new unlimited plans at 2 mbps and 1 mbps speeds.
BSNL currently offers the lowest two mbps tariff plan in India that cost only 125 INR for 150 MB bandwidth usage. Latest high speed broadband connections will also be given at lowest possible charges.
The 16 mbps and 24 mbps connections are great for online streaming, downloading and for accessing new generation technologies like IPTV, HDTV, etc. But the ultra speed is currently limited to few India cities. Furthermore, the cost factor is pretty much higher in this case.
BSNL broadband plans upto 2 mbps are now available via all exchanges. Home unlimited users can upgrade to the latest 1 mbps and 2 mbps unlimited combo plans if they are ready to shell out more.
There are Existing BSNL Home Unlimited broadband tariff plans of 750 INR and 1350 INR that provide 256 kbps and 512 kbps speed. However, as you can see above, the new BSNL combo plans offer one mbps and two mbps unlimited BSNL broadband.

Updated : New BSNL unlimited broadband tariff plans may include a Fair Usage Policy. That’s the unlimited 1 mbps, and two mbps speeds would be available only up to 25 GB and 50 GB of bandwidth usage, and thereafter a downgrade in speed to 256 or 512 kbps unlimited.
