Apple today announced iPod Touch 4G, iPod Nano 6G and a new iPod Shuffle. In its 6th generation, the Apple iPod nano gets a total redesign with slimmer hardware. The new iPod nano 6G comes with a multi-touch display and removes the touch sensitive click wheel. It doesn’t have a the video camera introduced with the iPod nano 5th generation. The slim iPod nano 6th generation has square shaped design with iOS 4.0 like interface. We can call the new iPod nano Multi-Touch as a smaller version of the iPod Touch 4th generation.

The iPod nano 6G comes with a 240-by-240-pixel, 1.54-inch color TFT screen with Multi-Touch. The device supports shake for shuffle and Nike+ iPod workout kit. There a clip in one side – so that it can be attached to T-shirt, Jeans or other workout gear. The Multi-Touch enabled screen makes it easy to move through music tacks, photos and videos. There is a touch enabled voice over feature to speak out track and playlists. It has an inbuilt FM radio player with live pause and stream facility. Apple iPod nano 6G has an external aluminum finish with iPhone 4 like volume rockers in one side. The iPod nano 6G comes with full support for Apple iTunes 10. It will be available in 8GB and 16GB versions and in six different colors.

Apple will start shipping iPod nano 6G models from next week onwards. The suggested market price of the iPod nano 6th generation – 8GB and 16GB model is $149 and $179 respectively.
