Maruti is all set to launch the revamped version of one of the most popular small cars India, the Maruti Alto K series (K10) on August 4 2010. As the name indicates, Maruti Alto K10 comes with variant of the revolutionary K-series engine used in other Maruti Suzuki models. Therefore, the new Maruti Alto K series 2010 will have improved mileage engine performance and makes a lesser carbon footprint. Maruti Suzuki is currently the largest producer of cars in India, with complete superiority in all segments of car models. But when you look at the entry level segment, just after Alto and Wagon R, there is still some space for improvements. The Alto has been in market for the last few years. But the recently launched Chevrolet beat, Hyundai i10 are making stiff competition for Maruti Alto. Finally Maruti Suzuki is about to fill the gap between Alto and Wagon R through a small card called Cervo. The Maruti Cervo will have a better design, engine, improved interring exteriors and security. The base model of Maruti Cervo would be available for a price around 2 lakhs.
