Seagate Barracuda XT worlds fastest HDD

Seagate, one of the of the world leaders in hard disks and storage products today announced Barracuda XT the worlds fastest hard disk drive that tops the current hard disk interface speeds to 6GB/sec in compatible motherboards and PCs. Working at 72000 RPM, Barracuda XT can store upto 2TB (2000GB) of data in its 3.5 inch sized core area, and can provide a maximum sustained transfer rate of 148MB/sec.So far it is the fastest and largest SATA drive in storage. As per Seagate, Barracuda XT is ideal for extreme gamers and downloaders who usually need to access the hard disks at a faster speed and store more data on hard disks. Seagate also announced that they will provide five year limited warranty on Barracuda XT product series.

If you need to store less data and want more speed then SSD’s (Solid State drives ) are the best choice . But excess data demands obviously require to go beyond the limits of expensive SSDs . The Seagate Barracuda XT next generation hard disk drive that need 6G controllers that are yet to announced or delivered . But as per the press release we can expect the compatible mother boards from Asus and gigabyte in near future .
