Maruti Swift K series
As per government norms all Indian car manufactures should adopt BS IV standards before the end of April 2010. To be in track with the latest requirements, Maruti announced the new 2010 version of its popular hatchback Swift. The new Maruti Swift 2010 petrol includes the latest Kb series engine that is already being used in Ritz and others. The main advantage Kseries engine are its fuel efficiency and pollution control. The new Swift 2010 petrol with K series engine has proved in test labs to deliver maximum mileage of upto 18 kmpl. It also has the new enhanced transmission system for smooth performance. Swift Diesel 2010 model comes with the same award winning DDis engine.

Suzuki surround protection: All new Swift comes with premium security options like ABS, EBD, airbags etc. Other security features includes crash resistant, power absorbing trim design, adjustable steering column and front seat belt with pre-tensioners. These pre-tensioners in Swift 2010 instantly tightens the seat belt in the event of crash, and save the user from moving towards front side.
1.2L K series engine in Swift 2010
New K series engine: Suzuki Swift 2010 comes with new powerful 1.2L litre 16 valve K series engine. KB series engine provide top level driving comfort without comprising on mileage. This 16 valve DOHC engine is lightweight and prevents frictional and ther losses. Thus it improves spark plug life and avoids frequent oil changes . Swift 2010 with K series engine produce lesser noise and vibrations and has enhanced pollution control.

1197cc 4 cylinder 16 valve engine with maximum Power 85ps @ 6,000rpm at maximum Torque 113Nm @ 4,500rpm.
Five-speed manual synchronized transmission in all gears and one reverse.

As always the Diesel variant of Swift 2010 has higher on road price than K series powered Swift petrol. The advantage of Swift diesel is its driving smoothness, mileage and resale value. K series improved the mileage of Swift petrol models. Its now stable, produce less noise, requires less maintenance and provide more mileage. So getting Swift 2010 with Kseries engine is recommended over diesel model if you are using your car for home use.
Maruti Suzuki aims to tighten their position in medium-premium hatchback segment with the launch of Swift with K series engine. k series is the new modified petrol engine.
Swift would always be superior than i10….. And Swift Zxi is the best !!!!!!
