Adding contact form in WordPress blogs are pretty much is easier than in Blogger . Though there are so many WordPress contact form plugins ,here in my blog I use a plugin called Contact form 7 .The advantage of Contact form 7 is that here we can add options to include captcha ,allow users to upload files ,add quiz , radio buttons ,text etc . WordPress 2.8 users can install contact from 7 via plugin installer . After installation ,move on to form settings ( Click on Contact from bottom left side) . There will be a form ,contact form1 created by default . Next step is to create new blog page . Create a new page and name it contact or whatever you want . Now copy the brown underlined code in contact form1 , paste it to the new page created and publish . You will see the new contact form on page refresh .Messages will be sent to the email address provided during WordPress installation . Further you can enhance the basic form by adding captcha security and option to upload files to blog administrator .
Add captcha to Contact form 7 plugin for WordPress :
Adding captcha security in a WordPress contact form is very easy . For this first you need to install a WordPress plugin Really Simple CAPTCHA .After this , open contact from 7 and select to edit form number one .From right side click on generate tag and select CAPTCHA . Customize CAPTCHA ,save and copy the brown underlined code to newly created contact form page . Now you will see a CAPTCHA request in your WordPress contact from .Similarly you can add quiz’s ,buttons ,option to upload file prompt etc .

Good post… but it took me a while to find out that “move on to form settings” was under “CONTACT”. Be nice for you to clarify that as a step-by-step.
Thanks @lazysupper I updated the post to include your suggestion
Not sure that this is true:), but thanks for a post.
Your site was extremely interesting, especially since I was searching for thoughts on this subject last Thursday.
How can I make the temp file not temp? I don’t want to send the file. I just want them to upload the file to my server. That’s it. Should I have them try another plug-in? Or maybe just have them use Filezilla?
Thanks for telling us how to use contact form plugin, and also thanks for the information about 2.8 wordpress users.
Thanks alot
Excellent plugin to add contact form which is managed through admin and captcha ready.
Good post…
