good work mate
thanks for sharing
Very fast wp themes. I tried this theme for my sales blog.
Thanks for the WordPress theme. As you said its really fast. Could you please write how users can customize this theme? . For eg: to change the logo in this theme.
Hello Mcartiny, changing the logo is very easy. Extract the ZIP file containing WPsimpy WordPress theme> move to the images folder> now change the image with name logo. Make sure that your logo is of same size of the one in theme folder and in PNG format. Repack the folder to ZIP file and upload to your WordPress blog’s themes section. Do ask if you have any other question with the customization of theme.
Hi, Is this theme released under GNU or Creative Commons? Can I remove the footer link? What if I modify the theme a lot?
Hello Sham thanks for your interest in WPsimpy WordPress theme. This theme comes with Creative Commons 3.0 license. So you are not allowed to remove the footer links. However, you may remove any one of the two links in the footer. Also the derivative works should contain a link to original theme. Hope you have enjoyed the fastest WordPress theme.
Are you using WPsimpy here? If so, your YSlow rating is a D.
Hum yes, depends on the JavaScript widgets and plugins too. Here I am using Adsense and Infolinks. Also the JavaScript based Feedjit live stats is there on my sidebar. Checkout how it loads in a practical way
.
Analyze the theme with.

OK have a couple of problems which I hope you can help me with:
1) When you add the search widget to the sidebar it does not display correctly, almost like a tag is missing or something.
2) How do you add the adsense under the top nav like you have on this site?
3) When I add the tag cloud to the sidebar there is no margin under it. How can I add a grey border round it like most the other widgets?
4) I have set wordpress to display recent posts on the front page but it displays the whole post and not just a summery, how can I change this?
I hope you can help, feel free to email me if needed.
Many Thanks
Great theme, I already use it on my blog.
Suggestion: You should use the_excerpt in the archive page. It’s more SEO friendly
Few more problems:
5) There is no links and the bottom of the main page to view older posts.
6) The very bottom post on the main page has a tags section where as all the other posts don’t. See Screen Shot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v72/chrislowthian/tags.jpg
Hope you can help.
@Andrei; Thanks for your suggestion. We are working on a new release of the theme considering all feedback received from our users.
Hello Chris, the search box and tag issues are now fixed with WPsimpy version 1.01. I can see that you have managed to add Adsense and page navigation on your WordPress blog. We will publish those customization options soon for our other users.
Great theme….Min but no small
… Thanks for post
Have fixed most problems just a couple left:
1) The tag cloud still has some layout problems, it overlaps the widget below it (have a look at my blog)
2) Also how can I add a 5px margin to the bottom of the search widget?
Thanks in Advance
@TipsViet My pleasure.
Have fixed the Search Widget Spacing Problem.
Edit the style.css file and change:
#sidebar form {
margin:0;
}
to:
#sidebar form {
margin:0 0 9px 0;
}
Its just the Tag Cloud Bottom Margin Problem then we have a perfect theme!
I am gonna try this locally with my set of plugins and come back but i really like the theme donno whether to shift or not
Hello Siddanth, I can see that you are using Adsense to monetize your blog. These are the reasons for you to choose WPsimpy.

Tag cloud now sorted!
Load sidebar.php and paste the following right at the top:
<?php
function add_padding_to_tag_cloud_bottom($text) {
$text = '’.$text.”;
return $text;
}
add_filter(‘wp_tag_cloud’, ‘add_padding_to_tag_cloud_bottom’);
?>
Sorry code didn’t display correctly please email me and I will forward you the correct code
@Chris Thanks for sorting out those issues and providing fix
.
Could you please tell me wich files have been modified, so that I don’t lose the tiny customisations I made when updating?
@Andrei : As you can see the search box at top right corner of your blog has some mismatch issue. The new version of WPsimpy fixes that issue and tag issue with WordPress 2.9. Download and try. Do ask if you have any other problem .
@smartin: I understand, but as you can see I modified the index.php, single.php and probably something in CSS and if there’s nothing changed in those files, i woldn’t overwrite them and lose the tiny tweaks i made.
So, that’s why I ask which files have been modified since the first version
Great, great WordPress theme, Smartin.
Quick question… my menu (sidebar) isn’t showing. Any ideas?
@Markus : Please provide your URL so that I can analyze the issue.
From the WordPress dashboard, go to Widgets section and add widgets you like. Add widgets to the Sidebar1 to make them appear on the right sidebar. Widgets added to sidebar2, sidebar3, sidebar4 will go to the footer section.
Solution : Seems that you haven’t added any widgets.
Upgrade WordPress to version 2.9
Download the new version of the theme.
Now add widgets like recent posts, search, recent comments to sidebar1.
@Andrei: Tell me more about the customizations you made. The new version of WPsimpy has changes inn CSS as well as other sections of code.
Thank you Smartin. Another question.
The categories seem to be falling off the category bar… can you take a look at this for example:
- markus
A quick upgrade to WPsimpy WordPress theme is now available. We have fixed many issues including the sub category overlap. Thanks @Markus for information. Do ask if you have any other problems.
Awesome Smartin.
I have a bug report and a suggestion.
When you use the widgets and place “Recent Posts” in Sidebar2, the recent posts show up at the bottom of the page… not in the sidebar.
And my suggestion.
I don’t want to accept or display any comments.
Yet by having the anchor text in the link show “No comments” on all of my posts makes it look like my busy blog look not so busy. Can you add logic that says if comments are turned off, there’s no anchor at all about comments? Same with RSS Comments… can you hide that if comments are turned off.
Awesome template you have here.
I found what could be a pretty major bug…
… The footer isn’t showing up on the pages.
I add web stats in the footer to track visitors — I even tried it without the webstats and the footer doesn’t show.
Can you look at:
http://www.fetch123.com/featured
- markus
I am not sure about your problem. Checkout the demo page of WPSimpy. Here the widgets are seen in posts pages also. You have to add widgets to the sidebar2, 3 and 4 to make them appear on footer.
No problem about the widgets and sidebar.
I’m much more concerned about the footer not showing up. I can’t track my visitors and not having a closing and is a huge problem from an SEO standpoint (Google doesn’t like that).
Sorry, I am still not able to track your problem. Checkout the footer in the demo page. Are you saying all these things in the code side or visual side? You can add Google analytics code just before the </body> tag. Edit the header.php file for this.
